Position Purpose:
Overall responsibility as a resin sales representative position is the establishment, maintenance and growth of resin distribution sales. Responsible for all accounts and other appropriate contacts, regular customer and potential customer visits, expanded account penetration, presentations on products/technologies and active participation in the field trials/demonstration projects. Individual must have strong technical foundation to interpret/address customer issues with raw materials/formulations/manufacturing/applications and troubleshooting.
Key competencies include:
- Track and discuss sales including negotiation of price, payment and delivery terms.
- Understand where customers are today, current set-up, location and focus areas and what motivates them.

- Find and identify new direct customers in the marketplace.
- Leverage production knowledge and have the technical aptitude to spread product awareness while increasing sales volume
- Research and analyze industry information to accurately apply pricing and maximize company sales and profits.
- Frequently visit and communicate with prospects to determine needs, generate solutions, and strengthen client relationships.
- Conduct market research to support which indirect customers to target.
- Participate in tradeshows and join associations as appropriate.
- Willingness to travel 90% of time.
- Perform other duties as assigned and directed.

Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong background in polypropylene resin sales
- Filled PP – HOPP/ COPP highly desired
- Background in recycled resins a plus
- 5 years experience minimum
- Self Starter – highly motivated with entrepreneurial approach to sales
- Proven sales track record
- Strong business relationships and industry contacts
- Proven ability to work independently
