Dayton, OH - CTC Plastics is proud to introduce its vast line of reprocessed polypropylene
compounded resin.
Polypropylene Resin can be used in a variety of products but is particularly well suited for automotive applications, lawn and garden products, construction and building applications, reusable pallets and many other general purpose products. Polypropylene has been found to have several benefits that differentiate it from other plastics making it an excellent candidate to recycle and reuse.
Polypropylene is most commonly used for injection and compression molding wherein the material is injected into a mold and then formed into complex shapes at relatively low cost and high volume. Light in weight, Polypropylene features characteristics that include resistance to staining, pest infestation, mold and mildew to name a few. However, the production and use of plastics has a wide range of impact on our environment.
Plastic can be reused many times over but today only a small percentage of plastic waste is recycled. Most plastics take a long time to break down. With an increasing amount of plastic products being produced every day, environmental impact of their disposal is a major concern.
Recycling allows us to reduce dependency on foreign oil by millions of gallons per year. Recycling
polypropylene is advantageous as the plastic can be reprocessed into pellets and then molded into new durable, lightweight products.
CTC Plastics manufactures resins made up of 99% recycled content. Reprocessed Polypropylene performs with the same characteristics, consistency, and quality as Virgin resins and is a lower cost, environmentally friendly alternative. CTC’s reprocessed resins can be customized depending on the customer’s compound needs and different formulas can be produced to enhance strength, durability and flexibility. CTC’s reprocessed resins are used to compression and injection mold some of the most popular and recognizable products available in today’s market.
